The Day of Tubalo

With eyes that pierce the sooty darkness…

Stained the dulcet tones of loneliness…

Tubalo who sees the emptiness between spaces…

He who is the stuff of shadows…

Tubalo the black…

The Fête of Tubalo falls between the last week of January and the first week of February, coinciding with the Candlemas or Imbolgc celebrations of other Traditions. It is a Fête of Quickening; of receiving life and feeling life’s first movements. It is a Fête of jubilation, honoring the Primordial Spark that flashed first in the Beginning and carries forward into each act of creation.

We of the Mound invite you to join in the celebration! Allow yourself the opportunity to glimpse beneath the darkness of the season, to behold the Rose.
